Sneak Peak at New Library

The “wow’ factor was certainly present as Bob Levett, President of Friends of the Library Byron Bay took his first look at the new library. Along with the library staff, a euphoric Friends of the Library group witnessed what 30 years of canvassing has achieved. Bob stated “I am just so thrilled with all the space, the wonderful natural light and the design. After 30 years of battling for a new library, I am finally standing in it. What joy to be here today”. FOL has donated $20,000 to the library for new resources and look ahead to enhancing this magnificent community facility.
The new library will be officially open to the public on Monday February 11. Friends of the Library will be assisting with a ‘meet and greet’ programme during the first week and look forward to being of help to the library staff.
