Friends of Libraries Byron Shire (FOLBS) is a not-for-profit community group supporting the libraries in the Byron Shire – Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby – through promotion, supporting the librarians and staff, fundraising, literary events and lobbying.
Author and literary events are held regularly throughout the year with members being notified by email. Our annual Book Fair is a major fundraiser for the libraries. We also have a raffle in conjunction with the Book Fair.
FOLBS is an incorporated body, affiliated to FOLA (Friends of Libraries Australia) and has an executive committee elected at an annual general meeting. Our Facebook page keeps members and interested persons informed of our activities.
